A LITTLE PARADISE IN THE ITALIAN APPENNINES
Zocca is a small mountain village with 5,000 inhabitants south of Modena and Bologna, born in an ancient area rich in hills and mountains on which many castles were built in the past (Monteombraro, Montecorone, Montetortore, Montalbano, Monte Questiolo, Rosola, etc.), the stage of several medieval battles between the people of Modena and Bologna, given its geographical location.
In 2014, the village twinned with Boavista, as a result of a cultural exchange between the two municipalities to highlight their affinities in terms of tourism, economy, and culture.
